Warning: My Online Glasses Horror Story – Wrong Prescription & Zero Customer Service! 😭
Let me tell you about a terrible online shopping experience I had recently, one that I hope serves as a warning to anyone considering buying glasses online. My new safety glasses arrived, and I quickly realized they sent me the wrong prescription safety glasses, causing dizziness and nausea. It was a nightmare. The moment I put them on, I knew something was horribly wrong, and my discomfort quickly turned into extreme frustration because it’s been impossible to get ahold of a live person to actually help get this resolved. Multiple chat sessions, phone calls and emails and still can’t get in touch with anyone. That's why I felt I had to leave this review and finally reach out to customer service to address this serious issue.
Customer: I am absolutely frustrated! I received an order for safety glasses, and you sent me the wrong prescription. I’ve been wearing them, and they’re causing me dizziness and nausea. CS Rep: I am so sorry to hear that, and I understand how distressing that must be. Can you please provide your order number so I can look into this immediately for you? Customer: It's order #EYB12345. And honestly, I’ve tried reaching out multiple times—through chat, phone calls, and emails—and it’s been impossible to get a live person. This whole experience is unacceptable! CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the difficulty you've experienced reaching us and for the incorrect prescription. That's certainly not the experience we want for our customers. I see your order now. We definitely need to correct this. We can arrange for a full refund and a return label, or immediately process a new order with the correct prescription at no additional cost, including expedited shipping. Which would you prefer? Customer: I just need the correct glasses. I'm hoping you can actually get this right this time and ensure they're double-checked before shipping.
